New Visual Field Machine!

In late December, we replaced our existing visual field machine with an updated model. Many, may recognize the visual field machine as,” the one with the button you have to click” or, “the one with the eye patch.” My apologies to all the pirates out there but with our new machine there is still a button but no eye patch! The visual field machine tests peripheral and central vision to detect any blind spots. These blind spots can be an indication of glaucoma, macular degeneration, or even a stroke. We always offer visual field screenings for our patients and we use the more detailed tests for our patients with glaucoma, macular degeneration, or other eye diseases.
